The Plan

Our sessions include ample time for us to communicate with our clients so we thoroughly understand your concerns. We review your health history, conduct a thorough assessment of your posture, mobility, and range of motion to determine areas of pain and dysfunction, and develop a treatment plan to ensure our approach is appropriate, specific, comfortable, and useful in helping you recover and meet your goals.
D U R I N G
We utilize massage and bodywork, which are manual therapies designed to professionally address the nervous system and treat soft tissues of the body using pressure, manipulation, mobilization, positioning, and stretching. We are trained in a variety of advanced massage and bodywork techniques and modalities, allowing us to take a unique approach to each session.
Massage and Bodywork should be effective, not painful. We provide therapeutic massage and bodywork that feels useful (sometimes referred
to as “good pain” or “therapeutic discomfort”).
We begin our work by sedating the nervous system and warming up the superficial tissue to gradually gain access and treat deeper layers without causing guarding or resistance to the work. We educate and empower you on what to expect and adjust our techniques as necessary to ensure our work is always comfortable and useful.
A F T E R
We review our findings with you during and after each session, make note of how your body responded to the work, and help you recognize patterns of repetitive use. We offer you education on anatomical structure and function, and encourage you to be proactive in self-care through stress management, postural awareness, and mobility maintenance, to prevent pain, limit dysfunction, and maintain overall health and wellness.

ALL SERVICES
We combine firm pressure with a series of slow, deliberate strokes, and soft tissue manipulations to calm the nervous system and specifically address both superficial and deep layers of soft tissue.
DEEP TISSUE
RECOVER, REVERSE & REINFORCE
We focus on the assessment and treatment of specific areas of soft tissue injury using orthopedic and sports massage protocols combined with deep tissue massage, myofascial release, neuromuscular and trigger point therapies, and active and passive stretches.
SPORTS & MEDICAL
ALL SERVICES
Silicone cups gently glide over the skin to sedate the nervous system, encourage circulation, and release superficial soft tissue adhesions. Deeper layers of chronic tightness and pain are treated with stationary cups to reduce inflammation and relieve pain.
CUPPING THERAPY

Massage therapy is a natural complement to your prenatal care. We understand the changes your body is going through and we are trained to safely support you through every trimester and beyond the birth of your baby.
PRENATAL & POSTNATAL
ALL SERVICES
Gentle sustained pressure or manipulation of superficial layers of fascia under the skin and deep layers of fascia surrounding the muscles to facilitate the release of adhesions, eliminate pain, and restore mobility.
MYOFASCIAL RELEASE
ALL SERVICES
A specialized form of manual therapy, passive positioning, and active stretches used to eliminate pain, reverse dysfunction, and restore balance between the soft tissues and nervous system by addressing trigger points and adhesions caused by trauma, postural patterns, and repetitive movements.
NEUROMUSCULAR THERAPY
RESET, RECOVER & REVERSE
Sustained pressure targets points of chronically contracted muscle fibers to reduce spasms, restore proper blood flow, reduce inflammation, improve muscle function, and eliminate local or referred pain patterns.
TRIGGER POINT
ALL SERVICES
We gently move your body through each joint’s normal range of motion to comfortably lengthen shortened muscles and connective tissue, ease muscle tension, and reduce soreness and pain.
PASSIVE STRETCHING
RECOVER & REVERSE
Clients are asked to activate their muscles against the therapist’s resistance to perform Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF) or Reciprocal Inhibition (Contract/Relax), which work directly with the nervous system to lengthen shortened muscle and increase range of motion.
ACTIVE STRETCHING
ALL SERVICES
We utilize heat therapy to increase your circulation and bring oxygenated blood to an area to help treat and relax muscles. Our massage table may be heated, and we apply hot towels and use hot stones where appropriate to enhance your session and make our work more efficient.
HEAT THERAPY
RECOVER
We utilize ice therapy to decrease inflammation and limit discomfort during the treatment of specific areas of tenderness or pain.
ICE THERAPY

We apply special tape to a specific area to relieve pain, reduce swelling, decrease bruising, increase awareness of body position, improve postural awareness, stability, function & performance, delay muscle fatigue, enhance rehabilitation & speed recovery of many common conditions.
